I am an educator at Palos Verdes High School in Palos Verdes Estates, CA. For ten years I taught all levels of freshman and sophomore English at PVHS. I have loved spending that time re-reading the classics with the fresh perspectives that come with a new set of students each year, exploring and mining canonical texts for contemporary relevance and lasting significance. Working with students to hone their crafts as writers a to become stronger, more dynamic thinkers and effective, purposeful communicators was a tremendous joy and privilege. In 2013 I transitioned to the role of teacher librarian at PVHS and have been enrolled concurrently in the Teacher Librarianship program at CSULB.
This portfolio is intended to be an on-going exhibit of my professional work in both in the classroom and the library, as well as my own student work from the California State University, Long Beach ETEC program as I progress through my coursework toward an MA in Educational Technology and Media Leadership, and a Teacher Librarian Services Credential. Per the guidelines of ETEC 580, the evidence of my work and the products of my field experience are organized by the ETEC Learning Outcomes. Thank you for visiting!
